Okay I'm officially hyped about this system. Hunters comes packaged with it, pictochat embedded in hardware, not to mention the release of Goldeneye has been confirmed according to a few results on a google for DS info.

I'm by no means a PSP convert, but the DS, despite the lame second screen, has captivated my attention.

nottheking--for the record, the media size is 1GB, not 128MB.

is it like the older GB systems which were "128Mb" and not "128MB" for the carts?
that can make a big difference to your "1GB" size...

Until I actually see real data, It could be up in the air. I got the 1,024-Mb (128MB) stat from the last press release from Nintendo that contained an actual figure. Of course, that was during late 2003... So I wouldn'e be surprised if it was changed since then.

Keep in mind that:

Gb != GB

The lower-case letter "b" indicates bits, while capitalization of the letter indicates bytes, which are equal to 8 bits. While they capitalize it in that article, they might still have it wrong (keep in mind that most media think that 1 MB/GB = 1000 KB/MB, whereas it's actually 1 = 1024; even computer-focused media can get this wrong).

1) It's capitalized, therefore indicating BYTES

2) Bits is almost never used unless talking about xfer speed.

A Hunters demo comes packaged with it. Big difference.

I still want one. I think having two screens (and one touch sensitive) adds a lot of new possibilities for games. It's the first genuine innovation in quite a while.

Still a good deal.
DAMN YOU COMPETETIVELY PRICED NINTENDO HANDHELDS!

Though after this gen of handhelds, it might just become a Sony vs. Nintendo war...again.

I just wish we could come up with some better remote power than the current LithIon batteries. They're good, and all, but I'm looking for 20+ hours at full gaming experience. That's just my dream :\
