So I just played Prince of Persia: Warrior Within...

Yeah so Ubisoft was here at school today, they had some unrealeased games on demo. The plan was to have Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory, Prince of Persia - Warrior Within, Ghost Recon 2, and Rocky Legend but Splinter Cell was unavailable, so we had too deal with only the other three :(

WW kicks ***! Decapitations, new moves (slicing enemies while swinging around a pole) - just .. .WOW! Incredible. And I got a coupon for $5 off when it comes out.

I had my picture taken with a buddy of mine, checking out Prince of Persia: WW. I'll post it as soon as they upload it to their site.

What type of school are you in, and where?

I don't mind them spicing up the combat a bit, but was the adventuring/platforming still as intuitive and as frequent as in Sands of Time?

The "quiet-time" of climbing and puzzling (in the Library, the Ice-caves, various courtyards, the final tower climb) and completely seamless transitions between environments are what made the first game so good in my eyes.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

I'm in Montreal, at l'École Polytechnique, an engineering school. If you're in Canada, check out www.ubisoftcampustour.com to see if they'll be near you any time soon.

The gameplay is just as great as in the first from what I saw - keep in mind that they only demoed a short dungeon-style level. Door openning puzzles, zigzaging between the turning spikes and stuff - it's all still there. Real great :D

When I first saw this thread I thought "OMG it's realeased!!!!!!!".
Then I read your post....

I can't wait for the game to be released! Although I sorta didn't like the part where your being chased by fate all the time, thus rushing you to figure out puzzles out to kill enemies in a short amount of time, etc. Other than that, I can't wait.
No sig.

yeah, I thought it was out too. Though I can't afford it right now anyway, so it would just annoy me if it was released.

Can't wait!

Sands of ime was great. If they beefed up the combat, that's awesome

Beefed up combat is good, as long as it's not at the expense of the level design and ensuing acrobatics.

Agreed, is it true that time control now plays a larger role in solving puzzles?

Hard to tell from the five minutes that I got to play.

Yeah, I didn't really use it all that much the first time round

So far, the combat is actually really amazing, just by the number of things you can do to your enemies.
