I posted a thread a little while ago, and it started to turn to a flame war, so I asked DSettahr if he could go in the thread and do his 'admin-thang'. Suddenly I felt like the little 6 year old boy asking his mommy to make the other boys stop being mean. I realized that I've been going to massassi practically daily for almost 5 years now. Since I was about 10 years old I have been posting on these forums. It's sad isn't it? I know many of you have been here for a long time too.

So what I am suggesting is that on October 3rd 2004 nobody posts for the entire day. Just that one day. Massassi will be a ghost town for one day. Go outside, hang out with a friend, do whatever you want, just don't come here. There is so much stuff that I could be doing right now, and for some reason I'm not! I know most of us could use a good day outside, so lets do it. Who's with me?

I dont' know if I could do it. It's become a bodiliy function of mine to automatically type forums.massassi.net when I turn the monitor on.

Quite honestly, I don't spend that much time here. I think most people have been able to balance the rest of their lives with Massassi, or at least I have. So if people actually buy into this, I'm going to be the rebel, and post anyway. :p

October 3rd is a sunday. There's nothing to do on sunday, besides use the computer. Why not do it on the 2nd, when I'll be at a Star Wars gaming fest (not video games, but the new miniatures game, Rebel Storm [and the new DVDs, and the Clone Wars Cartoon will be shown too]).

That's why I picked the 3rd!!! Because it's a Sunday, and I know it will be ever harder for people not to go on massassi. Cmon, show some will power people. This is the reason we need to get out. Some of us can't break away for a single day.

Really, I'm out with friends every weekend. Week nights too, if I'm lucky. Post for a few days. Go away for a few days. It's a good system.

it's not that hard for me to leave... in fact, i only visit here about once a week... and that only picked up recently.
but i have been a massassian for... i dunno... long time.

I almost never post on the weekends anyway, so that's nothing to me... But I have an idea to make it work (though from what I hear fromn Brian, it may be difficult).

There's the simple way to make it work: at the end of Saturday, the mods/admin ban EVERYBODY at Massassi! They could lift the ban the following day, or they could keep it... That way, thousands of Massassians would be free of their curses... Or die a shrivled-up heap.

Aw now that wasn't nice guys. I typically go outside and spend the day with people and spend sometime on Massassi to, I can't speak for you guys but to me it's all about balance really.
