I haven't seen the DVDs yet, and am wondering if they fixed this.
Just as Luke is escaping the wampa cave, you hear the "light saber turning off sound", but the saber is obviously still on.
I'm actually hoping it's still in there. It's one of those problems that adds... character. Kind of like a car window that has to be forced up and down by hand (not a lever, but actually pushing the glass down), or a ceiling fan that has to be spun manually to get the motor going. It's a problem that makes you like the object more.
