Have the members gotten too old/American around here?
2004-09-29, 3:31 PM #1
Seriously, what's with the sudden "I have rights" and "Agnst" threads? It seems all the annoying members that used to be 12 are now growing up to be 13, and suddenly they're reading the constitution, and hating their parents; realize how dumb you all sound, and stop.

Wow, now I'm starting to post absolutelly nonsensical topics. Go non-conforming conformancies.

I have lots of problems with people. I don't whine about them. I have no rights, and I'm not an American. My parents are great. Women aren't a factor yet.

I feel good.

What annoys me is people who hate Bush and thinks he is dumb without any political reasons. Many of them just watch SNL skits and read those "funny Bush" quotes....

There are plenty of political reasons to hate Bush.

Yes, yes there are but you missed Echoman's point.

Echoman's point is that several people (teens mostly from what I've seen) hate Bush because it's the hip thing to do. They don't even know why they should hate or like someone, they just do so because as far as they can tell, it's the "in" thing.

I think Massassi should have a constitution. One of the ammendments should read:

Girl threads are fine, and most threads are pretty fine, but we've seen an increase in completelly lacking arguments for either party in the current presidential election, we've seen an increase in 'omg rebel!' threads, and an special increase in "I'm a victim, [parents/school/teachers/admins/Brian/DSettahr/SAJN] suck." threads.

Hrmm...a forum filled with 15-20 year olds that are just coming of age in a world that's humongously new to them filled with outrage and extreme emotions.

Oh, of course, that's so retarded. Whereas Kirby is perfect

BTW-SAJN, that thread's ONLY 2 months old. I think it was your 'subtle' way of trying to insult me. Good thing you suck at it. Want me to post some of yours, however? I can go dig them up just as well as anyone else. And trust me, there'd be a lot more of them.

So what? This, if you didn't notice, is a very personal, family-like board. Everyone here pretty much knows everyone else, and it's a very open society. People post things that they are thinking, which they should be able to do without persecution from the other members (unless it's just blatantly stupid, ignorant, and asinine. As long as someone posts something rather intelligent and somewhat decently thought out, they should be in the green.

Some of what they post just happens to be anti-establishment, anti-government, or at least anti-CURRENT government, etc etc. But what do you expect? Sorry we're not all on the same level of 'intellect' as you kirby. And I don't want to be demeaning, but when you call people 'emo' or 'angsty' based on what they think, and the fact that they express it (as long as, like I said, it's in a well-thought-out manner) that's just stupid. Not to mention the fact that you bash people for reading the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and other such governmental doctrines. Why? Because they want to become educated and/or might misinterpret those texts, and thus have a skewed outlook?

I'll leave it at that.

jedikirby, this happens everytime election year comes around. But think about it: It's 2004, so this is only the second one in massassi's history. Don't you remember 2000? The exact same thing happened. Don't worry about it. It will blow over.
