Normal CSI here. CSI: NY dosen't look that good...

CSI: Miami is trash. Its full of lame characters and David Curuso is clearly just strong arming the series into another boring cop drama where he gets to play the one role he can-the hardass cop. Plus he drives a Hummer.

Original CSI is awesome.

CSI: NY looks pretty bleak and dark even compared to the others. The jury is still out this one for me. Gary Sinese is a good actor, it might work. I guess we'll see.

I think they all suck. Each episode

'(Person) got killed in (someplace). Lets check it out'
'Hmm no clues, I'm stumped'
'Wait...what is this? It's a piece of (something), take it down to the lab and see what you can find out'
'Stupid subplot to make people belive each episode is different'
'The (something) comes up with posititve results It's showing high traces of (Scientific ho-hah)'
'hmmmm'
'He did it!'
'What? That's such a twist, I didn't expect it..oh wait I did'
'End'

Same thing with E.R. I hate that show too.

Some kid gets a tire jammed in his face because he was trying some dumb stunt (It usually changes between a black/white/cripple/asian/hispanic kid), the kid usually lives....meanwhile there is some lame subplot, usually one of the guys likes some nurse, or a character meets some family member. Then there is always the 'other' hospital patience. Like some guy that 'almost doesnt make it' because of the 'new guys' error or something. Most of the kids live, most of the babies die....It's boring. I almost cried when I heard them try and sound smart on E.R....one guy said something like "He needs 'someamount' of 'somecrap' before his right aorta shuts down"...did he just say...wow, just think about that one...

Ok, CSI is lame, but ER just owns you.

I'm always at work on Tuedays, so I only get to see CSI: Miami on Wednesdays, which is really good. Would probably love normal CSI if I ever got to see an episode of it.

ER is about the characters, SAJN. The patients come and go each week and are entirely forgettable, it's the doctors and nurses who are brilliantly written and keep us watching.

As far as good TV drama goes: Everything else - Band of Brothers = The Sopranos

If I'm ever bedridden, give me a TV, a DVD player, Band of Brothers, Sopranos season 1-5, and I'll be a happy man.

Nip/Tuck is perhaps my favorite TV Drama of all time. It's just...amazing. Unless you count Farscape as a TV drama :p

I'm not really a fan of CSI:M because the main character knows EVERYTHING. I mean it. He measures the road, and says a guy is lying based off of the width of a tire. GAH.

You forgot the cliche scenes where they're doing very normal stuff in a dark lab, looking down microscopes and writing down things, while some big techno beat is playing. :p
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

I like the original CSI. CSI:M didn't somehow interest me at all. Dunno if they ever show the NY here in Finland, but I doubt I would watch it either. I think the original has pretty good and balanced characters. The repetition of plot elements hasn't bothered me so far.

Yeah. That show does blow. I mean, a lot of the stuff they 'get them' on in CSI is kind of a stretch and probably wouldn't hold up in court...I mean, lets face is, most juries are just going to be like "That guy looks like he did it." and then go "I don't get it" to a lot of the in science behind the prosecution. And don't think the defense isn't going to have its own group of paid 'experts' to say its all a load of crap.

New Drama idea:
Dark Forces III: Jedi Knight II: CSI: flawed legal system: The rich killers always get away with it.

But Cold Case is even worse. Its like "Your finger print was found on a 100 year old toliet seat next door to the crime scene 50 years ago. And the drunk bar tender thinks that he saw you that day even though it was 50 years ago and witness testimony is virtually useless in court to begin with. We nailed you!"
