If you read about the debates last night, from Massassi to what was broadcasted on CNN,, MSNBC Fox News, the major networks, the consensus is neither candidate did particularly well. It was a "draw" Well, not if you read Yahoo news on the front page. I have been watching all day as story after story proclaims kerry's brilliance, and his victory. I posted earler how one story read" 3 Polls find a Victory for Kerry". Five minutes ago, it was "Democractics celebrate Kerry's win." You know, it would be nice to see things from the other viewpoint, for posterity and accuracy's sake. I hate it when information is presented from only one side. It's irresponsible. I'm not saying the stories should read, "Bush Wins in landslide" or the like, but a story about the Republcians reaction couldn't hurt right?

I expected Kerry to make a complete fool of himself, and I was suprised that he didnt.

However, it was certainly no victory for Kerry.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

not really. The consensus is Kerry kicked arse, and that's what's being reflected by the articles. This isn't about being one-sided, it's just what happened. There's no point in calling it 'news' if you twist the facts to satisfy everyone.
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Although I hate kerry's politics, I do have to give him credit for being a better speaker than bush.

Still, that is not enough to change my vote.

You must vote for kerry ....you must vote for kerry.....
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Even republicans agree if anyone 'won' that debate, it was Kerry.

Sorry, but
NO.
I am only 17, so I can't vote anyway.
But the second part of Jedigreedo's sig is perfect for this type of thread (I first saw what it was today -- sue me)

I am enjoying that so much right now... :D

And if they did go around in circles last night, I'm not particularly surprised -- they seem to have been rewording the same arguments for months now. It's getting old real fast.

"Bush led us into a war we should not have entered. We were searching for WMA's. Did we find any? No."

"My opponent [Kerry] is only consistent in the fact that he is inconsistent. He keeps flip-flopping from one view to another."

Yes. It's called TiVo. :P

I was upset that Bush fell apart. He seemed to just keep throwing back buzzwords in different combinations without really daying anything. I'd love to help spread liberty and give freedom to a people whose brave, corageous leader who stood up to his people and accepted the power we gave him, supports us fullheartedly, if I knew what that really meant.

Well, that's obviously what Bush is all about, buzzwords.
It just didn't work as well as he'd hoped this time.

And of course it went in circles. That's how debates are. The points have to constantly be reinforced.

I think it was dumb how Kerry agreed that Saddam was a threat.
It's not the side effects of cocaine, so then I'm thinking that it must be love

Nubs, the polls, from Massassi to the major networks, uninamously gave Kerry the victory. Sorry, but complaining about factual reporting because it didn't help your guy is stupid.

You mean by the liberal media? I could jsut as easily go to some coservative area and write an article saying that Bush was the clear winner with plenty of quotes to back it up. It's not a matter of twisting anything, but rather only publishing one side's views.

When both sides are claiming victory, no one actually won

I'm a bit confused... Seeing as its a DEBATE... how can anyone win? Yeah, no one can. It's not a contest, its a DEBATE.
