I've been really busy with homework lately, but seeing as it's the weeekend now and I've got a small period of free time, I thought I'd suggest an idea which just occurred to me.
This may sound a bit elitist, I hope no one takes it as such, but I just thought it would be interesting if we had the Monthly Massassi Match-Up Awards. I'm not sure how Brian would take to this idea, but it owuldn't it be a good bit of fun to have a monthly Massassi awards for, say some of the following ideas:
- Best Editor
----- Jedi Knight
---------- Mapper
---------- Modeler
------ JO/JA
---------- Mapper
---------- Modeler
- Any other showcased game
- Best Photoshopper Award
----- Anyone going above and beyond in the realm of amusing, masterful, or down-right awesome artwork.
- Massassi Poet Laureate of the Month
----- I have no idea if it would work, but it just sounds funny.
- Massassi Forums MVP Award
----- The Person with the most posts in that month ( I don't know if these forums can track that kind of info, maybe not)
- Massassi Forums Debating Award
----- Not necessarily the most skilled debater, but perhaps the person with the most humor, frequent posts, or sheer tenacity.
- Massassi Forums ISB Super-Bloke Award (this is off the top of my head)
----- The person who infused the ISB forum with best, most, or most clever/witty stories
Honorable Mentions:
----- All new members that month are listed (some people might no like this)
----- Anyone who gets 1337 that month.
----- Anyone who surpasses 10,000 that month.
(and much more, perhaps, maybe even a :gbK: award -
)
Admins could select the candidates, and then they could have a poll to see which person from each category the Massassians chose!
Also, admins could then put the winner's new title under their name, and this could get rotated each month, so lots of people can get a turn.
Anyway, maybe some people won't approve, but I tihnk this would add a lot of humor, interest, and friendship to this forum. Plus it would be just another tihng that we have and other community forums are just plain missing out on!
