Lets see... I recently ordered an Athlon 64 3200+ and a nice Gigabyte motherboard off newegg, and they came today. Turns out AMD forgot all the documentation and paperwork for my processor, so that made me angry...

I went to install it anyway. After getting everything installed, I go to boot up, and it is having hard drive errors...

"hmm...." i think to myself. So I unplug my 160gb SATA, and the connector snaps right off.

So I put in my 80gb to use that as a main hd, and all of a sudden all my graphics in the bios and POST are all ****ed up. I have tried reinserting my video card, turning off the power and leaving it sit for a while, and resetting he CMOS, and it still looks all messed up :(

So I just go to install XP ignoring the video glitch for now, and when the installation is almost complete, winblows says it couldn't copy a file. I took a look at the disc, and it is in perfect condition... so I go to try to copy the file to a floppy on another computer. The disc started making weird noises in the drive, and guess what? You got it, my windows disc blew up in the drive.

I am having a wonderful day :(

/me points and laughs.

It is a sign from the computer gods that you were not destined to have any of that.

On a more related note, I have no advise for you. On an unrelated note... After a month and a half of problems, Hal (my computer) works PERFECTLY now. My burner works again, and I've had a stable uptime for over a week. Zero problems in that time.
