Ispent the day playing through gta3 again for nostalgia's sake and I'm having a hard time beating that mission where you and 8-ball
have to blow up a cartel boat for Don salvatore.

I go on top of the warehouse after grabbing the adrenaline pickup, but 8-ball still dies b/c I can't fire fast enough with the sniper rifle. I tried again by using the rocket launcher, but there were some guys hiding behind crates that i couldn't hit with splash damage. .


why can't 8-ball wait until I'm done killing everybody on the damn boat before he goes to plant the bomb?

Has anyone beat this mission? If I ftp my game, can someone beat it for me? I've tried 10 times, and its getting really fustrating.

I remember that mission...but I dont remember how I beat it. :\

I must have been lucky, because I beat it on my first try. I pretty much just climbed onto the roof, then picked all of the gang members off one at a time. Sorry that I couldn't be more help.

There's a really good vantage point somewhere up high that allows you to see practically the whole boat. It's somewhere on the right, and easy to miss. I remember thinking I was at the best vantage point, then finding somewhere way better. Sorry I cant give you more info, but been a while since I played that game...

I found that mission to be one of the easier ones. Then again, I played on the PS2 version. I guess keyboard doesn't count for everything.

I had trouble the first time I played that mission, but I didn't go up on the roof. Me thinks you just need to pick the guards off in a better order. Also, aren't there barrels that blow up if you shot them on the ship? I seem to remeber doing that which would net a coule of kills with one shot.

Crouching helps too. Steadies the gun a little bit.

Oh, god damn....I remember that mission. Never got around to beating it, thus I never got any farther in the game..:o

It was very hard mission the first times I tried, after I found the right spot it became easier... I dont remember much of the details, but there are metallic stairs on the side of one of the big buildings. And on the middle part you can see most of the boat. And when you quickly snipe the two guys guarding the... wooden.. bridge...thing, you have to take the rest out. There are some guys who are hiding behind crates and could kill 8-Ball, but try to shoot them first. But of course you already knew that.

I thought that was one of the easier missions. Just get on the roof and snipe them... snipe the closest ones to 8-ball. He doesnt go onto the ship until you fire, which gives you an opportunity to look around the whole ship and see where they all are As long as you're on the roof, it's simple.

No offense but that mission is really easy, i did it first try, here some advice, AIM FOR THE HEAD!

hmm, i think i'll reinstall GTA3 too
