I need to do that conversion for some homework I'm doing - I've got RAD Gaming Tools (Bink and Smacker) but converting SWF to AVI provides no sound, loss of colour and a weird slant on the image.

Any ideas?

Okay basically I'm trying to convert the first 555 frames of Weebl and Bob - Cows ([url]www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/cows.htm[/url]) for my geography project on the countryside - the trouble is it comes out with a white, not purple background - this wouldn't normally matter, except the jokes refer to the purple background - no good when there isn't one. Any ideas on how I could get around this?

[EDIT] I've solved that problem - now for the bigger one - the converter you've given me sticks a bloody great red X over the video and the web address of the program - that's really irritating. Does anyone know a program that WON'T do that? [/EDIT]
