Advice with 6800GT

So I'm selling my GeForce 4 Ti 4200, and looking to buy a nVidia 6800GT. Anybody have any advice on the best kind/best place to buy one? Any comments would be helpful, I don't want to waste $400+.

I have a BFG 6800GT and I absolutely love it. I comes clocked at 370/1000 rather than 350/1000 but I have it running at 400/1100 with zero problems.

You will be happy with pretty much any brand of 6800GT.

Where'd you buy yours at R_ivi_N? And how much did you pay for it?

I bought it at Fry's Electronics for $399 + tax... $423 if I recall. Didn't feel like ordering it online and saving a few bucks. Especially when most places it wasn't actually in stock. Might be a better situation now.

I was going to get one, but they were out of stock everywhere I looked. So I opted for this instead.

Don't forget to try Froogle. Here's the best deal for a GeForce 6800GT I've found through them so far (The dealer's reliability is indeterminate, but it's an Asus brand card):

Dj Yoshi: Which Thoroughbred processor runs at 2.036 Ghz? Is that the XP2700+? I posted a complete listing of AMD processor specs somewhere on a thread, but it's been lost somewhere here, and I've forgotten almost everything on it.

[edit: I just found the list I was looking for. There's no 2.036Ghz processor on there, but it does lack the 2700+, and perhaps others. I've GMailed it to myself so I won't lose it again. (It took me 1 1/2 hours to compile)]

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-145-085&depa=0 a bit more expensive, but the performance is so worth it.
