I thought it was dumb. That's not at all the depiction of war, only a point of view.

Then you missed the point of the whole thing.. It's not a point of view on war, it's stating that no matter how many wars we win, there will always be another "bad guy" behind the one we just defeated. In essence, there's always going to be someone else.

That has been the case since time immamorial. There is always someone to fight. Theres always going to be evil in this world, in this life, and there will always have to be a conflict (in varying forms) against it.
