I am really excited you also get all the original games as well like Opposing Force and Condition Zero its pretty tight. Well the servers are pretty bogged for signing up, but it gives you credit to play anyway.

It's not. You have to divide that number (2000) by 8 (I think) to get your real download speed. It's Valve being a dumbass about bits and bytes to make Steam look better.

Closest you can get is Half-Life 2 Collector's Edition for $80.

but the CE doesn't include DoD:S and the previous valve games and costs like $20 more

It's either that or just Half-Life 2 and CS: Source. CE is closer in that it comes with Half-Life: Source.

wow... HL1 with better water... oh and they give you some crap... like a shirt that won't fit alot of people properly...

just buy silver... then burn the files to a DVD... that's the direction i am considering...

there is nothing (except a lack of hardware) stopping someone from burning the gcfs and the game folders to a DVD or two or a bunch of CDs (which would require splitting some of the gcfs into multple files) then anytime they do something like change computers or reformat all that is needed is a simple copying of files from the backups to the proper locations in the steam folder

anything that is missing steam should download automatically...

dude your gonna kick yourself in the *** just spend the extra ten bucks and get everything, the silver edition is by far the best deal, and i will back up all my games to a dvd or two when i finish downloading them all. I am actually feeling excited about a game again (something i have not felt since zelda 64).

Graphics look horrible compared to HL2 for some reason. Maybe its just me. The hands could be much better, and everything else (in those shots) looks...not that great.

First off, don't judge a game buy screens, thats stupid.
Second, they may not have graphics at the max.
Third, Aztec is beautiful.

That is all I have to say.

And I bought Silver too :p
I started downloading it yesterday at 3 pm, ended at 8. wow thats a huge game. BUT IT WAS SOOOO WORTH IT!

Well...some of the level design is a bit simple. But then so are all real environments, all the Tom Clancy games are the same. There's only so much you can do make an office building not boxy. Most of the detail is put into inanimate objects, like that incredibly detailed computers' innards.

My shots are at 1280x1024 max quality, but resized in MSPaint so they look like crap.

Aztec is beautiful. De_chateau is also wonderful. I was kind of getting sick of de_dust after playing the beta so much.

I played the Beta which was nice and all, but I would like to see some more screens of the maps.
