Risk: God Storm is awesome. It's like Risk, but with ancient gods. Some of the civilizations you play as include Greeks, Barbarians, and, I think, Celts (there are others, but I just can't remember them).

Never tried winning with alcohol. Now I know what I'm doing when I'm of age. Get my first 6 pack and pullin out the board games. The only problem I forsee is someone stumbling onto the board.

I usually just stockpile all of my soldiers in Alaska. So many other people try to spread out their troops so if you have all your troops moving in a unit, you can't be beat.

Australia is my key to victory, build up there, take Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, South America. Rarely does it fail!

I used to play Risk with my friends all the time... we got sick of it after a while, though, because it ends up just being repetetive dice-rolling.

Diplomacy, on the other hand.... that'll never get old.

My friends and I would always take our Risk board to Cici's pizza. All-you-can-eat pizza and a dorky board game. Good times.

I always found myself getting incredibly bored when people played Risk, I usually took the opportunity to go outside and climb trees and throw frisbees instead.

The key to victory is the kamchatka peninsula.... why?, You may ask?

It sounds funny.

I played once. I found the battle-deciding system of dice throws confusing. :/

Never played it, but it sounds like a 'everyone falls asleep bofore the end game like monopoly' game. Sounds good!
nope.

I used to play all the time during the summer with my family. We always have company over (live on a lake), so there's always plenty of people around. So in the night when nothings going on we'd always sit down and play some risk!

And yes, Australia IS the key to winning. Build all your forces there. Work up.

i like japan and that area, it has limited access.... start there and flesh out and then just go for some murder.

never played the board game before, the dice system does look confusing, i like the clicking variation.

Risk is fantastic, but Diplomacy is faaaar better.

I've only gotten to play twice, because of the lack of people interested... but by god. Those were the best 5+ hours in my life.

Second game took place in the food court of a Burger King at an airport in England, with 6 people who hadn't slept in ~33 hours... It was so fantastic.
