Lately I've been cruising the internet with my Mozilla Firebird. Everything was nice and happy. But today, things are different...

Actually, not extremely different. But I noticed these stupid popups that randomly shows its ugly head time to time. So far, when writing this post, I got 4...make that 5...popups. ARRGH! I hate pop up ads!! Burn in hell! Even when I cruise Massassi, popups appear. I don't want any freaking Finding Nemo DVDs or software crap! This hasn't happened before on my computer until today...

The funny thing is, even if I use Mozilla Firebird, the ads are all in IE. Have I got some spyware or some digital crap on my hard drive somewhere?! Plz help. I just have to look at the toolbar and see advertisement_loading for my hatred to start.

So if I do have ad-ware or spyware, how do I get rid of it?

It's ad AWARE and spyBOT. And if you have them, they are GOOD things. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Search google or something for eithert spybot search and destroy, or ad-aware 6. I used the later, and it worked wonders. When you are in the main menu for it just click update, then scan, then fix problems.. Or around those lines. It's really self-explanitory.

just go into internet explorer, go under file, and click work offline and close IE. now resume work as normal and when the message to work offline comes up out of no where as a pop up would just shove it into a far corner of your computer screen where you cannot see it, and viola, no pop ups anymore. this is a round about way of doing it, but it works the easiest and fastest.

Sometimes the pop-ups are scripted to appear on a certain part of the screen, this is mainly with spyware. That won't work very well against the java, moving, or ads that pop up from the taskbar. I suggest getting rid of the spyware [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]
