The name of a comedy club routine that used to be on TV when I was a kid. It was sort of a ware-house stage, with a young and diverse cast of stand-up comedics doing short skits. It was generally geared towards a younger teen-age group, but I loved the randomness, and the artsy-feel of it.

The Roundhouse?

What channel was it on, but Roundhouse seems to fit that description to the tee.

YES! Roundhouse it was!

Nikalodean had it, methinks. Share your fond memories of television shows. Specifically, roundhouse.

Yeah, it was on nick. I only remember two skits: One where the dad ordered his son to warm the toilet seat up for him, and "Nuttin' Honey" cereal. I didn't like the show as much as I liked the theme song.

IS that the show where the one guy drove around on his recliner?

Since I saw that show, I've always wanted a chair like that.

Yes, it is.

I miss ALL the Snick shows. Clarissa Explains it all made me the femmy, agnsty, and perverted child that I am today. Pete and Pete shined my love for all things odd, while are you afraid of the dark gave me my first REAL insight to cinimatography.

Wow, children's television used to give me and other people a hope to be something some day.... now it's just mindless brain-****ing. Nothing but nonsensical cartoon clammor.

Cheesy vs Mind-****...

You choose.

Not back then they weren't. I loved a lot of those shows. One of my favorite ones was Figure it Out.

Now I rarely watch Nick (occasional Spongebob, but that's really it).

Nick shows that were good (that I can still remember):

Rocko's Modern Life
The Ren and Stimpy Show
All That (the original cast)
Pete and Pete
Invader Zim

As I said, this is a pretty quick list, and I likely left alot off.

Rocko's Modern Life is possibly the greatest television show in the history of television.

Television used to be alot more fun, in a way. Now, everything is on all the time. When I was growing up (born in 1970) in Seattle, channel 11 was this cool independent network that ran syndicated shows such as Star Trek and Bewitched, to name a couple. Every Sunday at noon was a sci-fi/monster flick. You also had a Disney show on every Sunday evening on one of the major networks (abc, nbc, cbs). Cartoons on Saturday morning were a thing to look forward to. Now I have so many channels and I can hardly find anything to watch.

Same thing with the internet. Used to be a fun, new experience. Now I just keep coming back here. ;)
