I'd say anyone who still objects to "interracial" relationships, or even refers to them as such, needs to wake the **** up. It's ridiculous that such an advanced civilization like this still distinguishes between these so-called "races". Sure, they might come from a different country/culture/etc. but they're still human .

Interacial breeding insures the survival of the human race. The more diluted we get, the fewer illnesses we can get.

Not to mention, black guys are 10x hotter than white guys. I rest my case.

I didn't know if it was a general view (and everyone can think how they'd like) but I'd like peoples takes.

I know there is still racism in the world, however sad that is, personally I have been a victim of it, but it's not constant.

But the whole "not dating someone because of their race" is rediculous. It's equally as dumb as not allowing gay marriage (cuz lord knows, two men/two women could never actuallly love each other) *note the sarcasm*

so the fact that two people from diff. races somehow not be able to date because of that fact jsut really baffles me. Its kind of shocking to know that it is still seen as taboo or wrong.

Feelings are feelings, why should race be such an issue? Meh I guess i'll never really understand it. i think happiness comes in all diff. forms, love comes in diff. forms, and to deny it based on something like that, is just missing out on something great

I read this poem when I was younger and it stayed with me. So much so that I read it later on in highschool for english as this assignment. i read it on the same day the twin towers were hit and i had a hard time reading it. Interracial dating isn't a societal problem anymore except for a few places that have an extremely homogenous or segregated population make up, like the deep south or some ghettos.

I don't mind it, but I'm not usually as attracted to other races. Black girls at my school tend to talk gangsta talk or dance to rap and hang out in large groups of their own color. So I'm not sure if I'm racist or not. Anyways, I don't mind if others date interacially, I might end up dating SOMEONE of any race one day, but we'll see about that. hehe

I had an interracial relationship with an Asian girl, so no I don't frown upon them.

The only times I see there being a possible issue is if theres strong cultural differences relating to religion and such. Ie: someone a very devoted muslim or buddhist meeting someone else devoted to a seperate religion. But I know the culture doesn't always apply to a specific race so that's a pretty moot point.

The only other time I have a problem with interracial relationships is when one of the partners is only dating someone of that type because it's "exotic" to do so, or just popular.

You're not because you tolerate them. You don't have to forsake your preferences to be tolerant. Hell, I usually go for the blonde hair blue eyed white girl, but that doesn't make me Hitler Youth.

What i'm refering too is clicking with someone and having feelings etc, but not dating the person for the mere fact that they are of another race, and for that simple fact you just wont do it. I prefer white girls before black girls, personally. Not racist or anything, but to me, white girls just seem prettier. There are exceptions of course.

I'm not really sure about black guys, I haven't really thought about making comparisons between their appearances and those of white guys before.

As for other races, I'm a little more likely to be attracted to them.

Suprisingly, it's not as much as you would think(it's a little more segregated if anything). Utah has a large hispanic population, and there are a lot of milanos here. Concerning religion, it's not that segregated at all. That is in large part is due to the notorious mormon church hospitality, which is very open armed to people of other religions, including the Catholics that have a fairly strong presence here. Now, when it comes to politics, that's when things go to hell.

I prefer to date outside of my race..actuallly if you asked what my preference was....top three wouldnt be black. Down here unfortuantely doesnt work that way. I love interracial relationships. Nothing wrong with them at all.

hey you and me both. I thought that was something people have generally moved past, but I have come to learn otherwise. maybe it's just a select few. I'm glad to hear the majority of the board is in the mentality of 2004 . I really see no big deal with it, people are people. But I guess in some cases race is still an issue, it kinda is shocking ot me, but I guess when you close urself off to opportunities, u miss a whole bunch of great things. Of course those who are open to diff. things get more chances at love etc. Meh the world is funny at times. I don't think it's wrong. I, myself, am more attracted to white and Asian women than other races. Does that make it "wrong" or "racist"? I don't think so -- it's just my preference of one physical aspect.
