Given a regular polygon of n sides, what formula would determine angle a in radians?
I'm just a little boy.

90 + 180/n

Thanks.

Um, thats gonna be in degrees isn't it? Just multiply the answer you get from kyle90 by pi/180 and you should be in radians.

Oh yah... I missed that part.

That doesn't look like a regular polygon. :p

the beautiful part about math is that it can be rendered obsolete by usingf simple household items in its place.

Why use geometry when you could just measure it with a protractor?

Protractors aren't compatible with Java.

I though it supported multiple operating systems. Guess protractors are too advanced.

Unless you can come up with a radian protractor you would still have to do some math.

not really. i can read upside-down, so in the picture above, I would simply turn the protractor upside down. Problem solved.

Plan B would involve printing out the shape and flipping the paper upside down.

either way, I'll be damned if I have to do math. :D

Um, what? Pray tell, how in the hell is that going to give you a radian measurement at all?

Another awesome post, page!

...I failed calculus and I'll probably take another math course as long as I live, but I still know the difference between radians and degrees.

how the f*** would I know? :p

What IS a radian protracter, and what can it do to signifigantly improve my life as opposed to not having one?

Math is my achilles heel, so I've developed, refined, and nurtured a very special, very potent hatred for it over the years.

Okay--on page's side, so what if he doesn't know anything above Alg 2, or even up to it? That's his prerogative (sp?).

Against--a radian is a way of measuring angles in terms of pi, as compared to degrees.

Why do guys like us know what a Radian is? Is it essential to our survival in the hunter gatherer sense of the term? No.

Well there's probably a reason we don't hunt and gather then. ;)

If by hunting and gathering you mean working in a job, then it is. Not all jobs, but many in the engineering fields.

Like most of life's problems, this one can be solved with bending.
