What's Your Fave Arnie Movie?
2004-10-17, 5:23 PM #1
I just got done watching True Lies, which I have to say was quite good if not slightly more comical than I thought it was going to be. Some parts were extremely overdone, but I guess it wouldn't be an Arnie movie otherwise.

Although I liked True Lies, I'd have to say my favorite film of his is still The Terminator. That film is probably one of the most impressive, low-budget films I've ever seen. I have yet to see Predator and Commando, which both look pretty awesome. So anyway, which is your favorite, and why?

The terminator trilogy? I only really liked the second one... IT WAS KICK-***! True lies was great too
nope.

vote Predator

Off the top of my head you forgot Red Heat, Raw Deal, and Hercules in New York (not counting Pumping Iron as it really isn't a movie).

See this isn't very fair. Something like the Terminator or True Lies shouldn't be considered an Arnold movie. Those are high quality James Cameron films, and are great for a different reason than something like Commando is great. Most arnold movies are great because they've got a quirky sense of humor and lots of stupidity and killing, but the Terminator movies are more serious... true lies comes close to qualifying... but I don't know.

Its a throw between Conan The Destroyer, the original Terminator, and True Lies.

Im leaning towards True Lies...

Well I would say Terminator 2 if it was an option by itself, but the stench of the third movie definitely drags that series down some.

True Lies it is. Who doesnt love Tom Arnold?

I thought the 3rd one ended up to be quite good. Not as good as the other 2 but better than I expected it to be.

Terminator trilogy. I just bought it on DVD (discount, obviously  ). The 3rd certainly isn't as good as the earlier movies, but I don't feel like it's wasted money. It's fairly entertaining.

I also like Conan The Barbarian. One main reason is James Earl Jones, though, who did an impressive role in it, in my opinion.

If not Japanese commercials, True Lies.

Terminator 2 was the best by far. T3 was entertaining as a special effects showoff, but other than that it pretty much sucked. The original terminator had a good story, but wasn't executed as well as T2.

Other than that, total recall would've been my second choice.

Terminator 2, so many memorable one liners, although Conan The Destroyer had a funny theme song.
