Today, Hordes of the Underdark was released. It's the 3rd expansion to Neverwinter Nights. It's on my "to get list."

First it is KotOR, now HotU! Too much RPG, too little time (and snackfoods).

i skipped out on Shadows of the Undrentide... i may pick up Hordes some time next year.

probably will wait for when my favourite PW server upgrades to HotU (they're on SoU right now with plans to move on in a few months)
no need to spend $60 when i could just spend $30 (=

Bought HotU just this afternoon, finally found it in some obscure game store in Rotterdam after scouring the usual stores.

From what I've seen so far, I rather like it, but not too sure about the campaign. I think I prefer SoU's introduction a bit more, it felt a bit more involving, I suppose. Having only played it for 30 minutes tho', I'm hardly an authority of wether it's good or not.

Been toying a bit with the toolset as well. The skyboxes are just... *sniff* beautiful. I also really appreciate the new camera, it's nice to see things a bit more up-close, even though the graphics engine is somewhat tame(but still does the job well, if you ask me). Reading through the manual, I especially like some of the modifications that can be scripted on the items. I'm really looking forward to see what I can do with that.

All in all, I think that it's a worthy purchase.

BTW. For those with NWN whom have never played a MP session, I'd recommend visiting www.neverwinterconnections.com. Be sure to try and sign up for a DMed session, those are the best. Heck, if someone's interested, I could DM a modified version of the Vethboro Dragon or perhaps run a beta-test of a module I'm constructing.

*blinks* I like Neverwinter Nights. It's no Baldur's Gate 2, but it's still pretty fun. I'm in Chapter 2 of Shadows of Undrentide(it's my second time trying to beat it. I got bored the first time). So far I like it better than the original NWN.
