Dream Vacation?
2004-10-18, 4:22 PM #1
I'd love to travel around the world, and although I haven't even explored much of my own country, I'm in the process of planning a trip to Peru next summer. I'm not set on exactly what to do yet, but I'm a serious hiker, and am considering hiking the Inca Trail which begins in Cuzco and ends at Machu Picchu. I've wanted to travel to Peru for years, and it's definitely my dream vacation. I won't be able to see everything (there's a gazillion things to see there), but Machu Picchu is the most important to me (the Nasca Lines are probably 2nd, and the Galapagos Islands a close 3rd).

What is your dream vacation?

I have a friend who did that Inca trail, she loved it. Definitely sounds like anyone who is into the whole hiking outdoorsy thing would love it.

My dream vacation is hopefully my next one - Florence and Venice. Studied them for history in my last year of school, and have been dying to actually go there ever since.

Ireland. I love that place. I want to move there eventually.

I went to Las Vegas about a year ago, and I'd love to go again. It's not really what most people think about to be a dream vacation, but it was just something about the place. The whole city is alive, almost all the time, even more at night, and I just had a load of fun.

When I went to Disney World with my family a couple monthes back, it made me realize that no matter where I go on vacation, if I go with my family, it's gonna be fun, and I'm gonna love it.

Yeah I'd love to go to Vegas too. Been there once when I was underage. The casinos down here dont offer any decent forms of poker, would love to go to Vegas and lose a few grand. When I can afford it...

dream vacation, would be to return back to Spangdahlem, Germany, to see France, England, and to travel to diff. states that I've always wanted to visit. I'll do it all eventually, no doubt about that :)

I think a cruise that stopped at EVERY port in the world for 3 or 4 days would be my dream vacation. Wow.

Damn straight it is. I was there this summer and I had a blast.

My dream vacation would probably be going on a week or two long back packing trip in Alaska or somewhere else that is completely remote.

I think my dream vacation would be completely traversing the Idaho wilderness from one end to the other. I hear it's completely deserted. If you're lucky you might see one other human being the entire trip. And talk about beautiful country!

There are three places I have promised myself I would go before I died;

~Germany (I am 1/2 German)

~Somewhere is Australia.(I have heard its beautiful; in most parts and I have always thought it would be a great place to visit.)

~Alaska(Friend went there, and he said it was just amazing, I would also hope to take my dad because its his dream vacation.)

First of all, I'd like to go to a place that offers the best view of the Northern Lights (I hear Alaska so far, but I'm open to persuasion). Then off to Canada, because there are people there I'd like to see :)

I'd take 2000 and set out from my place and see how far round europe i can get with it, i would go down to england, france, luxembourg, belgium, holland, germany (shudder), switzerland, italy, france again, spain, france again, england again, then back to scotland. This could be done by foot and bike while surviving on sandwiches and water.
nope.

I really want to go to the Washington / Vancover area, and just sort of putz around for a few days / weeks.

Amsterdam, or anywhere with gorgeous living forests.

You can see them from Canada. Maybe not montreal or anywhere near the border, you'd have to go north, but still.

To be honest, I'd just sit with a bunch of mates and play games, maybe a couple of beers too. I hate going on holiday, because I'm either too shy to talk to anyone I don't know, or it's spoiled by the unnerving feeling that something's going to tremendously <disk repair> up the week.

And in all honesty, there's not really anywhere I want to go.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Well, as soon as I can take a vacation in space, I'm there.

Yeah, my grandma and grandpa can see then from their living room window, they live in Newfoundland. I'm never there to see it though. :(
