All I can say is: What the hell were they thinking pitting JK2 against HL in the first round?! Geez, get some decent competition if we're talking about Half-Life! Like.. Doom or Q3 or UT or something. I was also very disappointed that TIE Fighter lost to GoldenEye..

I was also quite disappointed to see System Shock 2 lose so easily to Deus Ex.

And finally, all I can say is: How in the heck did Super Mario Brothers 3 beat out DOOM? Albeit, it was only by a tenth of a percent, but still..

I think SMB3 shoudl have beaten out Half-Life, just because SMB3 is, like, that cool. But I also think it was good that Goldeneye won a bit too, among other things.

Yes, but JK2 was only a hit because of JK. The hype about simply having another game in the DF/JK series was enough to drive the sales of JK2 upwards.
