Oh. My. God.

I just got back from seeing "The Grudge."

A word of advice, if you don't like scary movies, stay away from this flick, cause it will scare you out of your mind.

However, a slight spoiler, not really about the story or plot: One kind of "let down" was when a ghost face would actually appear on the screen, it was CGed crappy which took away some of the scaryness, unlike in "The Ring" where the ghost faces actually looked real, like it was makeup on someone, or at least better CG.

The first time I saw the trailer on TV it made me jump when the ghost chick went down the stairs all stiff on her elbows. (too much like the exorcist, which scared the hell out of me)

i haven't seen the actual flick yet, though.

The part Page is talking about made me think it was a rippoff of The Ring.

I haven't seen it yet. The part in the trailer with the ghost cat human thing makes me laugh though.

the remake of the ring was absolutely horrid.

This movie was absolutely terrible. It is the definition of cliche 'horror' films. Do yourself a favor and see Juon - The Grudge, the original, Japanese film (came out in 2003) this movie was based off. It is far, far superior. Much in the same way that Ringu is far better than The Ring is. Hollywood needs to stop trying to remake good films...the end results leave much to be desired.

I didn't like the movie.. some jumpy parts, but other than that I thought it sucked.
