Has anyone ever tried playing frisbee with cds? I did it earlier and my friend was playing baseball... it was like the matrix when it exploded upon impact with the bat, glass went everywhere in little TINY shards - awesome.
Afterwards we mucked around with the other cds we had left, smashing them into walls and things, was fun up until my friend cut his leg open with one, it was ... shocking. I just thought we should all learn not to open our legs with cds, even though it seems fun. anyone else had any good cd experiances?
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.

Does anyone have that link to the video of a CD being microwaved? That's always fun.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

That was lame. I would rather see a fork in there.

There's a video of some kid experimenting with CDs and a dremel. It's badass, you should try to find it.

I find it's hard to throw CDs straight... they lack the rim around the edge, so they lack pitch/roll stability (other than what is caused by gyroscopic inertia). The directional stability is about the same as a normal frisbee though.

The guys and I are fiddling with the idea of a rapid-fire CD launcher weapon....it should prove to be quite interesting... :D
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

One time, I was playing a game (out of boredome) of make the cd hover thingie jump between lunch tables at school. It was a hover thingie because there was a balloon on top that slowly blew out air through the hole (via water bottle cap glued on top) to make a layer of air beneath the cd.

I apparently am 1337 or something at it, because at the last jump, the cd's hover thingie had come unglued and flew off, the cd went into FLIGHT, and flew straight into the vcr at the other end of the cafeteria. It broke too. Okay, it didn't actually go in, but it hit the door and the front flew to pieces.
May the mass times acceleration be with you.
