... I'm all for having a new forum and everything, but I'd like it alot more if it looked and felt just like the old forum as far as the user were concerned... With this forum being capable of themes and all, there should be an ALL CLASSIC theme where everything looks like it used to... :(

I like it.

Now you just need to make the outline around text boxes (such as this one), more defined. Specifically when you are editing your profile, it's almost impossible to distinguish between the text box and the black background because the green is so close in color to the black.

I thought it looked fine too, but I increased the brightness of the border a little bit anyways.

I completely agree that the dark green border on black background with black form fields is insane.

I kind of like the old way, but this is okay too.

Brian suggested using CSS to emulate the old way, so you dont have those ugly <hr /> tags... I know this kind of invalidates my poll, but what do people think of the way it looks now?

it looks exactly the same as the old ones to me....

I think the boxes looked better.
2004-10-25, 4:39 PM #26
That's because someone just changed it back.

But it's not exactly the same. The old ones used a default horizontal line tag, so it was all nice and shiney.

I agree with freelancer. It isn't quite the same.
I liked the box version. It matches other parts of the board better (like the reply screen), plus I think it looks neater.

Ok, I brought back the old new style. I'll leave it for a day so that everyone can get a chance to look at it and voice their opinion about it.

Try putting 'quote:' inside the green, in light green letters, and it'll work. Right now, putting the white 'Quote' in there simply doesn't look right.
