This cable site, and this CNN site both have info on this celestial event. See if you get digital pictures of it, and post here!!!

The moon is *right* outside my window. Gonna look at it tonight. Supposed to be really, really red because of all the volcano stuff going on.

I'll snap a picture and post it if the weather permits.

The eclipse will be total here at 7:23 pm.

Sweet! Thanks for posting that, Snake-Eyes, else I'd have missed it. Fortunately, I will probably be able to go use my university's 40" telescope for the event, as it seems the entire campus doesn't seem to be paying much attention to it...

I love the Moon. But Lunar eclipses are lame. We had one last year.

Alright, I'll see how well my digital camera interfaces with the telescope on the roof of the physics building here...

Looks like the clouds are finally going away, so that's good.

It was totally clear.

Very nice, it looked like a penny. Sadly, I don't have a good camera to take pics with.

It's cloudy here in Springfield, Missouri. Can't see it. I would like to see the pictures, though.
2004-10-27, 7:53 PM #23

Pissed Off?

I tried taking a digital shot of the moon, but it didn't work (the contrast may be too low for my camera to detect. I tried boosting the levels until noise appeared in photoshop, but no moon. :(

It's perfectly clear here, but so much for pictures.

The moon is totally reddish orange here, now.

I went out and laid on my dock in my tenchcoat with my dad, and watched it go from justafteritstarted to 20 minues after it ended.

It was awesome. I would have gotten pictures, but my dad left the camera at work today...

I was at work when it was going on. I tried on a couple occasions to get a clear shot with the store's digital rebel, but kept getting bothered by customers.
