99% of the movies are exactly the same, and that 99% still farking rocks.

People get way too hung up on the little things.

Note how that's how she's going to see all the movies from now on? Just like we do. That in no way is an argument for the movies suddenly being ok to suck.

The first time I saw it, I think I was really young, and it was in a movie theatre (I was maybe 2 or 3 years old). I remember how weird it was, specifically the part in the cantina. I'm not sure I saw the whole thing, I may have started whining and/or crying so no one got to see it either. Heh heh. Anyways, I didn't really get it then, I suppose. The first time I saw the whole thing that I remember was after I got Rebel Assault for the Sega CD, I got all of the movies on VHS in their original form (this was the last time it would ever be released this way, the one in the black box with the heads on it). This was when I was about 9 years old, I think...1996. I was really into Star Wars then. Everything was Star Wars. Yeah...then I saw The Matrix.

Then came the big fight, Luke and Vader.
I hate to stop the DVD but she was so shocked of Luke's hand being cut off. I had to stop it so she wouldn't miss the big line.
Then Vader said it, "no, I am your Vader"
Her month just dropped open, in shock. She keep asking me "Is he really? For real? Is he really?"
I told her she would have to wait until next week, to see Jedi.

NO, I AM YOUR VADER

I remeber the very first time I saw it. 1997. I am 16 now. I was 7. I watched it, and my first reaction was...it was very strange. I especially remeber the flight helm that Luke wore when he was on the Death Star sabatoge mission, and the X-wing class ships they all flew. I woundered how Luke became a pilot in such a short amount of time, and later why there was sound in space. But...there was what I call...a certain "Magic" to Star Wars I couldn't let go of. A mystery or sence to it. Kinda like the scene where Luke watches the Tatooine twin suns and the music plays...

Years later, I bought Star Wars Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight for my 10th birthday, and I was so excited that I can finally play a video game with lightsabers! (There was lightsabers on the box, that's what got my eye). You could almost say my journy in star wars was initiated by that single game...I beat that game numerous times, playing over and over again, and the "magic" of being a Jedi, having Force powers...even a lightsaber. When I didn't play the game, I went outside to play pretend with those extendable lightsabers they sell now (I have Darth Vader's ligthsaber). I pretended to be all sorts of things -- jedi, Stormtrooper squad leaders (and I was at Jerec's palace too)...and so much more. At nights, I would put in the Star Wars soundtrack I bought, and listen to the calming music on the CD and fall asleep. At this point, I knew EVERYTHING about the Star Wars Trilogy. I was a SW nerd, as you say. Ask me a question, I'll answer.

I've been a fan of Star Wars for 60% of my current life. I'm proud of it.

That magic followed me even to this day, but there was a bump in it...I didn't really enjoy Episode I as well as the originals. But, I liked it just as well, and episode II got even better. That kind of revived the whatever lost magic there was.

This is a very basic summery of my journy into the Star Wars world.

And yes, I do have a life.
