Who's seen the Show on Sci Fi and what do you all think about it??

Last week I saw it for the first time and it kinda creeped me out a little. And I'm currently catching this weeks episode where they say they catch something on film. Whereas last week they caught one of those voice recordings. Creepiness

*sigh* I love scary things and Halloween! Woot! lol

sounds like a load of bull**** to me.

not something i really believe in.

seriously, if the afterlife consists of floating around giving hassle to living people, i'm not looking forward to it.

I'm not really interested in watching it, namely because it's a science study...being hosted by the sci-fi channel?.. Right.

I believe that there could be ghosts and whatnot, but I really don't trust most ghost shows that much. I watched one and it was so fake it was pathetic. There was this one part where a "ghost" pulls this piece of drywall off the wall of a construction job, but the way it's pulled off.. The top is the part that the pulling force effects first, but then the bottom of the drywall goes up the beams a bit and then gets pulled off. Like if it were on tracks on the beams.

Actually, that sounds pretty fun to me. I look forward to scaring the $^@#&@ out of people I don't know when I die. Plus, you can fly .

I've seen the show. Like earlier post, it is bull**** sounding, but very entertaining.

"They don't want us."

"Can I come in?"

Heh. Cool.

I have a bit of an interest in ghosts and the paranormal and stuff, and I love the Ghostbuster movies, so I watched an episode of this a few weeks ago...the first episode, I think. It was exactly how I imagined these ghost busters operate...which was pretty funny.

The little club of entrepeneur "Ghost Hunters" is the most unprofessional, unqualified group of individuals...even for professional ghost busters. I don't claim to know more about catching ghosts or anything than them, but the way they run their little operation is so...I don't know, stupid, I guess? "Uh....let's try setting up some HEAT CAMERAS and let's all wear NIGHT VISSION GOGGLES, that's how you see ghosts!"

What are they even trying to do, what service does their business offer? Pay them hundreds of dollars so they can justify using all this high-tech equipment and spending all their money on a useless, dead end career? I mean, they don't have any ecto-containment units or proton accelerators (like REAL Ghostbusters) so what do the hotel owners and stuff do with the..."evidence" this team gathers? "Okay, you think there's some ghosts in my old theatre. Alright, great, thanks."

And the best part of the show is, you know that team leader guy has come to the same conclusions. You can almost hear him thinking to himself "what the heck am I doing with my life...who are these morons I'm surrounding myself with?" He's so obviously regretting this career choice...understandably. Luckily he's got his plumbing operation to fall back on.

So it's an entertaining show, I suppose. In the same way watching the bad singers at the beginning of American Idol is entertaining, though...it's kind of funny, but mostly just sad.

It's interesting how an old Irish tradition of going door step to door step asking for donations in New York became a national holiday for all us Americans on the day "sacred" to the Celtic Pagans, Witches, and Druids: Samhein, and yet still misconcived as a "Satanic" event by some people in American society as of today.

How do you think little kids feel when thier parents/guardians tell them that they can't go Trick-or-Treating, when all the others do? They may seem fine. But they're dead inside. They're dead.

To keep on topic and out of misconception, basically all the religions I have studied not nessicerly believe in ghost, but they talk about it, or they say there are ghost.

Do you believe in ghost, BoricuaDelight?

[EDIT: This question applies to all. Just sounds better if I put a name. :P]

Do I believe in Ghosts??

I wouldnt say yes or no. Do I believe in the possibility of ghosts...yes.

If my faith (I'm Catholic) believes in Angels and spirits etc, what means there couldnt be something demonic that is similar.

I think it's a creepy thought, I haven't seen proof that solidifies that ghosts are actually real but I wouldnt dismiss the possibility.

If they were real would I ever want to encounter one?? That answer is definitely...No. lol

But I think it's fun watching shows of the like and hearing stories etc on it. Yes I can be skeptical as well but I do feel it's entertaining and I find it creepy. Then again doesnt take too much to make me jump lol

I believe in ghosts for two reasons.

A. My own personal experience

B. There's unedited video's that can't scientifically be explained that show actual ghosts, not just those stupid "orbs" or other flashes of light. As well as sound recordings.
2004-10-27, 8:12 PM #13
You can bet your socks I'll be scaring the heck out of people every chance I get after I die.
2004-10-27, 8:21 PM #14
Then you get to go to hell for doing so :p

Are there any online? I would be interested in seeing one of those.

I've never seen any good evidence for the existance of ghosts.
It's not the side effects of cocaine, so then I'm thinking that it must be love

There sure are some online. Those urban legends video's that you see, are some of them. Just use google for "Ghost Video" or something. I'll try to find some directly good ones for you in the meantime. :)

I never seen the show, do these guys actually get paid to "hunt ghosts"?
2004-10-28, 5:51 PM #20
yes...but think of it this way, U go out somewhere, check the place out, say nothing came up in any of the tests u ran and get paid.

Kinda like going out to randomn places for the night, hanging out and getting paid...It might just be genius in action lol :p
