The Red Sox just won their first world series since 1918... I am practically jumping around with joy! OH MY GOD!!! THE SOX WON THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!

Wow the cards suck, a 4 game sweep. I think that the only reason they won is because of curt chilling(thats not how to spell, it i know).
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I'm happy for the Red Sox. I don't really care that much, but at least this is one more generational thing that we can tell our kids about.

Also, I lived in Boston for 4 years, so I kind of have to be happy.

the team that is the red sox now ahs probably been in every other single team in MLB, in fact they will all be traded next near and a new mixture of players from 10 different teams can win next year /end rant.

exactly

that's why i could care less now.

it used to be that the team you grew up with would still be around every year. now you have one or two mainstays and the rest are young kids that no one knows and even if they're awesome, they'll be traded.

MLB has 2 leagues and they are in different leagues. One's in the American League and the other one is in the National League. They only time they would play each other where it actually matters is the World Series. If that were the case (like 1989 when the the A's played the Giants), the home town team (Oakland A's) trumps the team from across the Bay.

1918 is the correct date, and yes it was a "scandulous affair".

The thing is, I don't like sports, but, if I had to choose, I would have went for Cardinals. Grandpa was a sports writer, and my whole family is into sports. Thier favorite team is the Cardinals, with an exception of one thats for the Dodgers.

But, quite frankly, I could care less who wins the World Series. I just like tradition, and that superstitious curse was one.
