What are you using to make them? Is is simply our names in binary? Out of curiuosity, I wonder what products these would come up as...

...For trivia, the first product to recieve a UPC was Quaker Oats... Although the first UPC scanned was on a stick on Wriggley's spearmint gum.

The barcode matches what the text says. If you scanned it with a standard POS scanner, it would just throw an error, because it wouldnt recognize it as a valid UPC.

Er, that didn't answer my question terribly well... I was wondering if you had found software/hardware that translates these, or had made the program/hardware yourself.

From reading what you posted, I presume that it does use the standard format for translating characters and numbers to Bar Code. It's just that I didn't remember UPCs being able to store text charcters...

Oh, and I'd like to a see a simple UPC, one that I think I've seen before: 1337. It might have been 7331, but I do recall seeing that on a product somewhere...

Great. Just dont be mad when nothing happens. These barcodes wont corrospond to valid walmart UPCs, so their scanners wont know what to do with them... A generic scanner will be able to read it, but POS equipment at Walmart will simply reject it as an invalid product ID...

what are you using to make those bar codes?

I think I had a CD label maker which could make bar codes...
