So I just get home from work, and I walk in the door, walk past my closed door to the living room, and ask why my door is closed.

She tells me it's so "Diva" can't hide in there.

Diva is a our new cat. She's two years old, brown and white, my mom and brother adopted her from PetsMart today. If ya'll remember, one of our cats, Tiger, died about two monthes ago from kidney failure. Her brother, Smokey, has long been sort of my cat and only really bonded with me. My Mom, being a cat lover, missed the company I guess so here we are with another cat. I believe it was also my Mom's kind heartedness. More than anything I know she'd love to get a kitten, but Diva had been at PetsMart for going on three weeks now, because everybody wants kittens, and I guess she felt bad for her. I'm glad though, she seems really sweet so far.

I'd take a picture but right now she's hiding under beds, just a little scared at the moment and getting used to everything.

Smokey is also scared of her and it'll take him some time to get used to her as well.

Hah. It's actually a bunch of old GamePro and Maximum PC magazines. And yes, that's a Logitech Keyboard and Mouse box.

It sucks, after the whole night she still in that exact same spot.

Of course she did, she's waiting for the mouse to come out of the box.

Give her time to deal with the stress. Besides, all animals are different. She may never be a very "friendly" cat but still a good pet.

I got my cats from PetsMart, they were scared out of thier fur when w got them. One never went into my front yard after a year with us. Now they are cool though, they chase dogs and other cats away, and a occasionally eat a mouse or bird.

Once my cat wemt into my closet and didn't come out for 3 days.

the best cats are kittens you find at the animal shelter. They cost virtually nothing and they have a wide variety available.

Does she already have shots and all that?

Yeah, neutered, shots, and she's even declawed. She's hiding under my Mom's bed at the moment, we put a bowl of water and some food down there as well.

But declawing, isn't that bad for kitty?
