So... Um... What does the fact that I use Slackware say about me, other than the fact that im a member of the Chirch of the SubGenius?

Debian
This distribution is popular with those who always count in binary, and are politically correct in a free software kind of way. Many are suspected of having been nursed on a TTY. Debian users take pride in the fact that their distribution is always several releases behind the latest version of the kernel, but makes up for that by being more difficult to install and use.

This was obviously written by someone who has not used Debian (or any other distro) to any significant degree...

I reinstalled Debian Sarge on my laptop last week. It installed with the 2.6.8.1 kernel and KDE 3.2. A quick edit of the sources.list and an apt-get upgrade brought it up to KDE 3.3.

There are more flavors of Debian than the stock Woody.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Hate to break it to you, but they are right GBK. 2.6.9 has been out for quite a while :p

*hugs Gentoo, despite the true comments from that website*

The thing that I hate most about apt-get is the fact that you always have to add new sites to sources.list to get Apt to find any apps worth installing. Portage has a huge library that doesn't require finding links for some random program to add it to you sources.list. (Although you can if you need to)

For example, on a default install, attempt installing mplayer :p

As for KDE, I don't know what new version is out right now, since I am not running a WM right now, I'm running on a purely SSH headless server for my linux :D

Knoppix users are pushy and aggressive. It's not at all unusual for them to hand you a CD and tell you to boot from it. Mainly, they like to stare at the console during the boot process while its sniffers check out the current hardware and network configuration. While this is a flashy and very useful distribution, it never seems to stick around on the systems it is used on as long as the other distributions. Don't trust Knoppix users in matters of the heart.

Yeah, That's me. :)
