I just got done watching Matrix Revolutions on DVD, and I saw something that I hadn't noticed in the cinema: After Neo made peace with the machines and they were hauling his body away on the platform, the eyes of the robots were green instead of red, which made the machines look less menacing and actually a little bit sympathetic. You can also see green lights on several of the buildings in that shot where it wasn't green before.

(I'll show you what I mean as soon as I figure out how to exercise my fair usage rights by taking a screenshot and posting it.)

It makes sense, b/c we associate green lights with something good, and red lights with something bad.

Did anyone else see this or was it just me?

Also, I could of sworn that some scenes were modified from the theatrical version

Didn't notice, but I've only seen it once, and that was back in the theaters. Probably didn't change the scene, just that you catch little details like that with multiple viewings

uh, the movie has been out for awhile, so most people have already seen it either in the cinema or on dvd.

Well, there are exceptions to the red-green rule in SW, unless you happen to be pro-empire. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

I finally understand how smith was defeated in revolutions. (at first I didn't quite get it in the cinema) Basically, Neo has hooked directly into the matrix where the machines could directly analyze his "code". When Neo was assimilated by smith, smith's "viral" code was added to Neo's. Using this, the machines were able to make something like anit-virus definitions for smith and then were able to remove his presence from the Matrix.

Another possible explanation would be that smith was the eqivalent of evil Neo. (he could do pretty much anything that neo could do, for example.) Positive neo + negative neo (smith) = 0. They canceled each other out, and when the main smith went, the others had to go too.

You could have simply hit the back button when you read that he was talking about Revolutions. He isn't the only one to blame here. I myself haven't seen the movie yet either, I don't care a bit about it.

The 1/-1 explanation is pretty obvious from the movie.

I guess I was either buying popcorn or taking a piss when they mentioned that. It was back in Nov. , So I don't really remember.
