i might as well grab one to check out what the heck this gmail thing is and for file transfer, my poor 10 mb isp e-mail is starting to choke on the files that i need to transfer, which often hits 200+ mb and my little usb flash drive is only 128 meg.

BTW, next person who posts their address in a "spam-bot-proof" form (and thereby makes me retype it) will not only not get gmail, but I will personally sign them up for as much spam as possible. Believe me, the only spam-bot here is me.

That's very nice of you... And possibly illegal; it's considered a form of identity theft.

Anyway, the question I was going to ask was how one got more than 6 invites to send out... Do you have to heavily use your account? I've used up my 6 invites, but have only sent a few E-mails with that account...

That's illegal? Hmmm, I didn't know that. So then spambots are illegal too? Damn, someone should do something about that (getting rid of the spambots I mean, not the law).

But yah, I actually have 6 accounts with 6 invites for five of them; not that I would ever need 6 gigs of e-mail storage space... (it was actually the first phase of my "exponential gmail" project, which never got completed).

Without that 10 meg attachment limit though; I would probably be using these accounts for file storage.
