i saw a movie called Female Market a few days ago at a friends house.

that film is disturbing.... not one for the family to watch.... contains some shocking shocking scenes.

less of a horror film and more of a horrific film.

i may watch dawn of the dead later, peter and roger kick ***.

I bought Night Of The Living Dead last thursday on DVD. And I think they added some new scenes, because they weren't synchronised in the German version - only subtitled.
Sorry for the lousy German

Yes, there's a new version that added some really crappy parts that are shoddily edited in.

There's a really poor actor playing some sort of apocalyptic preacher, and then there's the added bit at the start with the first zombie being taken to the cemetary in the back of a pick-up truck. Plus there's a really crappy Midi soundtrack added that totally ruins any suspense.

I think the original version starts with the brother and sister near the "Oooh, look, there's one now, he's coming to get you!" shambling graveyard zombie bit.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

I didn't notice any of these scenes.
The added scenes I noticed were some new TV- and love-scenes. And some extended dialogue.
Sorry for the lousy German

I'm gonna watch dawn of the dead later, i think its probablys my favourite out of the dead trilogy.

Has anyone seen the Night of the Living Dead remake? never saw it myself, i think its from the early 90s or something.

The Dawn of the Dead remake is pretty decent... doesn't hold a candle to the original though, sprinting zombies completely lose the scare factor that a massive crawling tide of death has.

em... because slow moving zombies are frightening....?

oh no! I might have to walk slightly faster to get away!

Schming, slow moving zombies are better because it makes them seem more dead. If all the zombies were marathon runners, then the movie would suck. (wait a minute, then that would mean that the re-make...)

They're driving down the road and wreck or stop at the cemetary.

It was alot better movie than I thought it'd be, had me more freaked out than alot of today's horrors.

Couldn't believe the ending either, what a freaky twist!

I've seen half of the original Dawn of the Dead. I hated it. The main characters were the dumbest I've ever seen in any movie. I find it impossible to enjoy a movie where the characters I'm supposed to like do things that are obviously wrong.

You're in a well lit hallway. You're at the door of a very dark room, and you know there's a zombie in there. This room has only one exit, and you're guarding it. What do you do?
A) Wait for the zombie to come out, so you can shoot it with a clear shot.
or
B) Go into the room

According to this movie, the answer is B... Why is it B?! How can I be expected to cheer for this character, when the answer is B?!

Situations like this make up whole first half of the movie. Maybe it gets better in the second half. I don't know. I couldn't watch it that long.

Chaz, by simply by saying that you hate the original Dawn of the Dead, you have angered all of the fans of horror movies on the face of the earth. Tred lightly, and sleep with your eyes open, for this group of people is well educated in the ways of death (learned all they know through movies :)).

Yes, I realize what I just said, and I know what backlash to expect. I love zombie movies, but that movie does not deserve the hype it gets.

Yeah I've always preferred the slower moving zombies. I think it adds to the anticipation. The thing is, it's not just one, instead it starts building up to a huge group of zombies and you know you are surrounded and there is nowhere to go, and you have to try and figure out how to survive as the tension builds as they get closer and closer. The only time i've liked fast moving zombies was in the Dawn of the Dead remake. And I think Romero is going to have smarter/stronger/faster zombies in Land of the Dead, but if anyone is going to pull that off and it still be scary it'd be Romero.

Crimson Heads, anyone?

When you got one of those for the first time in Resident Evil, after dealing with the slow moving type, don't tell me you weren't scared.

Scared, no. Disappointed, very.

I watched House of the Dead last night.

Most laughing I've done while watching a movie in very long time.

nooo not House of the Dead. the movie is soooo bad.

I used to work at a theatre and I remember my friend johnny got a copy of the print and screened it before he was supposed to just so I could see it cuz I'm all about zombies right.

Well he all got into trouble we sit there and watch it, and I was like WTH is this? I almost fell asleep. I felt like I had just wasted a couple hours of my life, and I didnt even pay to see it. Those are a couple of hours that I will never get back.

His brother was like "laura is afraid of zombies right?" and johnny was like "yeah" and his bro goes "damn you know this movie has gotta suck" ahah

I remember I was working the box office and people came back all "I want my money back!" and I was like "yeah I feel your pain, I saw the movie for free and I was mad" and they got a good laugh, of course I refunded their movie gladly, the reason I put on the ticket stub "the movie sucks" haha
