See for yourself!

Some of you guys might actually have more respect for him now.

"One finger victory salute"... I wonder if he knew that clip is going to be distributed over the net...

Yeah, I guess he's a pretty funny man, from what I have heard, joking around a lot.

Okay, I'm in a lab on a computer with no sound, so I'm having a really hard time with what's going on. All I'm getting here is Bush giving the middle finger and smirking a lot. What is the context and what is he saying?

Probably just giving his handlers hell. He's basically just screwing around.

My Republican mother would not approve.

That looks quite funny... Too bad my headphones have broken recently, so I can't hear any of it... Is there a transcript that I could read?

There was a particular, un-biased (it bashed both sides just as much) political cartoon on the 2004 presidential election in a particular newspaper, (the Lansing State Journal, a middle-low level paper in my state) that would've been quite fitting as a respons for something such as this. Too bad I can't seem to find the image... Google isn't helping right now either.

My mother just might side with that. We'll see when I get home tonight. :)

Whats what I thought...looks like its like 5 years old for some reason.

It's so obvious that the arm + hand + finger is totally fake and Bush would never do that.
2004-11-01, 2:20 PM #14
If properly edited, that clip has the potential to start many wars. Good for Bush and his sick obsession with violence, bad for the rest of the country.
Who made you God to say "I'll take your life from you"?
2004-11-01, 2:20 PM #15
It's obvious that it was recorded before he was going to make some sort of recording (advertisement, whatever).

What? It looks flawless to me.
That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

For those of you with sound problems:

"...she's still telling what to do"
"5,4, 3-2-1"
*slicks hair*
*finger*
[camera crew member goes "whooo!", someone laughs, woman says something]
*grins, looks around*
"Just a one fingered victory salute"
*looks around, clasps hands, grins*
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.
2004-11-01, 2:35 PM #18
That disgusts me and my mother.
Sneaky sneaks. I'm actually a werewolf. Woof.

The finger lengths match when he ruffles his hair, the sleeve of his coat moves right, his shoulder adjusts properly, and the fact that he calls it the "one-fingered victory salute" is something of a give-away, unless he was trying to pinky-swear with the cameraman.

I'm pretty sure it's real.

No, that was obviously a voice-over done by someone like the guy on Conan O'Brien.
2004-11-01, 3:07 PM #22
that is why i don;t like him. :p
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Seriously, he doesn't wear his hair like that any more, plus, no matter how stupid some of you claim he is I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do that these days. That movie is old. Halloween is over - stop digging every single little skeleton out of the closet.

If so, it's the most professionally-done fakery that I've seen. It tops Conan O'Brien in the visual quality and detail. It's on par with ILM's work.

Or maybe it's real.
