There are other forums out there that have For Sale/Trade sections and I have found this a great way to buy and sell things. There are evaluation sites like HeatWare and beerology that make sure people are trustworthy. Also, this is better than eBay in my opinion because the buying and selling process is more protected and personal. Of course there are trolls out there so we would need a troll hunters organization to find these people. Anyway, if you have any questions direct 'em my way.

Yes, that's true but we could! Think about it. Most people here are gamers. When you want to upgrade or make a *NIX box you could draw upon the resources of your fellow members rather than go to eBay or paying retail. True, used parts aren't always ideal but I have done this quite a few times and I find everything to be quite good. Also, used parts don't cost as much.

I'm not sure the average Massassian would understand that we (the staff and website) could take no responsibility for any of the transactions taking place within such a forum. I can forsee lots of complaints and post reports because someone got ripped off, and people getting upset when we refused to take action or ban someone because of something that happened outside of the forums which an Admin or Mod did not witness.

I'm also not sure it would be used enough to be worth it. People would almost certainly find more interested buyers/traders for their stuff elsewhere. We've had people try to find buyers for old games here before, and I dont think they've ever been very successful.

If you've got something to sell and you think Massassians might be interested, go ahead and make a thread about it. I just dont think an entire forum devoted to this is such a good idea.
