I loved Rally Trophy, and I've been following this ever since it was announced quietly to the local tech press.

I hear that your driver ragdolls out through the windshield too. Apparently he isn't wearing his seatbelt :) Multiplayer could be really fun.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

I happened to me as well. Check you're DirectX version. It wants 9.0c, and isn't very good about telling you if you don't have it.

Someone explain to me exactly how the highjump works. Half of the time I'm getting amazing jumps, but the damn game doesn't count them. And what's the best strategy for getting an uber jump?

This is a strange game. Why do you get nitro for crashing into stuff? And why doesnt the driver wear a seatbelt?

Because getting Nitro that way encourages you to bust up the track and the other cars, thus making you enjoy the game more fully every lap and increasing the challenge.

As for the seatbelt, he's an idiot.

I don't think the car looks safe to begin with... seatbealts are the last thing on the programmers mind. :)

It's been converted for racing. Typically in cars that you do that to, you strip virtually everything that is nonessential out. Lighter is better. I'm pretty sure that's what they do in NASCAR. I'm not positive, I hardly ever watch those races.

You know, at first, I was pretty impressed. Now that I'm actually trying to win the race, the game falls pretty short.

I don't want to be FRUSTRATED in trying to win the race. I'm driving perfectly, its just that the AI, as well as the race physics are utterly idiotic. When going around one corner, I turn into it early to swing around, and I end up hitting into the outside wall. On the next, I turn too late, and slam into the inside wall. There is no happy median. I know how to drive, and I've played hundreds of racing games. I'm quite skilled at them. This one just has an inconsistancy that I cannot stand.

Oh, and nitro for crashing? It's cool when you want to see a reck, it's not cool when you're in first, and you worked hard to get there.

Lastly, the ragdoll physics were boring, especially with a lack of blood. Not to mention, hey it's cool when my car looks like it's about to blow up, and there's nothing but a lightbulb still attached, yet non of this effects my driving? Stupid.

It's a revolutionary game in that it takes a lot of FPS features and puts them in a racing game. It's just lacking the 'racing' thing.

are you trying to play with your keyboard?

that would explain the control issues... any racing game requires some level of analog control a wheel is best but a gamepad or a joystick work too

looks interesting, never heard of it but might download.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Yeah, this is fun, though the racing mode is really hard with only keyboard controls.

I don't understand how this game is hard with the keyboard, I get first everytime without even trying. I also crash into everybody that I can. You guys just suck.

I average 80 something in the High Jumps, but I think I found the key earlier today. I need to test it more to be sure though.
