That gif makes the movie look like a cheap horror flic. Look at the lightsaber choping.

I've seriously been laughing at that image for 5 minutes now.

Seeing as I've known the plot of the movie for some time, I can make that statement. This clip only gives me an actual image to associate with what I've known for a long time now. Darth Sidious is a f***ed up guy, and this is just a 2 second clip of how nasty he gets. George Lucas is playing to his strengths in this one, he knows what the fans have wanted since TPM, but he wasn't ready to deliver until now.

That's anakin overpowering Obi-wan and holding Obi-wan's wrist and lightsaber at bay to keep from being decapitated. That's Darth Sidious showing us the true nature of the Dark Side. That's a clip from the largest space battle in any star wars movie. If you know the context, it's definitely worth getting excited over.

I did NOT at ANY time during my post, say a single word about my hating it. I DID say that I was totally lost as to what the hell everyone was so worked up over.

As for knowing the context... Of course that's going to make a difference. If everyone in the world knew the context, there wouldn't be any questions about what you were seeing. I, however, having not gone and tried to find a script, don't know a damned thing about that context, therefore those images are right next to meaningless to me. Right now, those images are just flashy pictures on film. After I see the movie or a all out trailer, I might think otherwise.

I don't see why you should, the second it hits Hyperspace it'll be on every P2P program imagineable and have hundreds of torrent files to go along with it.
