Remember the spam e-mail you got in doom3 when you picked up some people's PDAs? Curiousity compelled me to go to martianbuddy.com just to see if anything was there, and I got a simple dummy site. (I traced the whois back to ID software, so its not a cooincidence. )

Anyway, on the site, i noticed the following:




I'm curious... has anyone found any easter eggs like this in the game? Is there a storage keypad locker somewhere that does something special when you type in 508?

Uh... well basically you got the email in the general area of that storage cabinet. To access it you had to close out of the game and actually go to martianbuddy.com
you just get ammo or something.

Yeah. There was a Martian Buddy cabinet somewhere in hte game and that site is where you get the access code.

There's actually two Martian Buddy cabinets in the game but contain nothing more than ammo if I remember correctly.

both have just ammo but they have ammo that's generally not the easiest to find... like bfg ammo

The first cabinet has the Plasma Gun and the second has the BFG Gun.

I thought it had a chaingun in. I totally made the face when I got it.

Anyone play DOOM3 on the hardest mode? That's the only way it's like the original doom.

Yeah the two that I found were:

#1: Chaingun, Chaingun ammo, Armor (I think) and some other ammo.

#2. BFG, BFG Cells, Other Ammo.

edit: anyone else notice how alot of those massive crates were in tiny office areas? How'd they manage to cram them thru the doors? oh well...
