So how many people have you killed?

I'm guessing most of us here play, or have played computer games that involve killing humanoid characters. Try and estimate how many you think you have shot dead, sliced up or beaten up since you started playing these kind of games. Include humans and humanoid beings. Include single player and multiplayer. Don't include blowing up planets and nuking cities, just relatively up close killing.

I don't play many games any more, but over the years I'd say it would be around 50,000. I think there would be some people here in the 200,000+. Anyone think they may have cracked a million?

I've got over 1800 in Quake3 currently which I just reinstalled a few months ago. That's mostly SP playing with bots to practice rails. Damn this is a very hard thing to guess, I played a lot more quake3 back in the day than I do now.

My time spent in CTF_Face in UT alone outnumbers any other game combined as far as kill count. Damn that level was awesome.

I'd say well over 100,000 from the two MMORPGs I've played alone.

I have to say the same thing. In the millions as well. I've played doom since it came out and its predecessors. All the Quake games and UT-UT2k4.

Most recently, I killed 150 scientists in a few minutes in Scientist Hunt (mod for Half Life). Whee.

I've killed way too many people in Deus Ex. Everyone who I didn't have to keep alive that I accidently knocked out, were dragged into a vent, and beat repeatedly with the DTS until they exploded, and little chunks fell down the shaft. Good times.

I played a lot of M:TW and S:TW and R:TW sooo...do all those little peeps count? Easily over a million in those games alone. Probably total in the range of 1.5million.

I'm a pretty casual gamer, and I have at least 1M.

ALot of those were killing my sisters character on The Sims :D

I have absolutely no clue. It's impossible to estimate. I've gone through periods of playing shooters intensely to playing them sparsely, so I have no real average I can think of.

I guess if I average out my time playing shooters over the course of the time I've been playing shooters, it would probably come out to about an half and hour per day of shooters, and supposing I can make at minimum one kill per minute, I'd say 30 kills per day. Now, I've been playing shooters about eight years, so that's about 2920 days. So, 30 kills per day is 87,600 kills overall, which I guess is about as good an estimate as I can make.

You people dont know the meaning of the word billions :-p If my calculations are correct, you would have to kill about 3 people per second for 10 years NON-STOP to kill a billion people.
