30 x 7 pop = 210, already over the limit.
12 x 2*(conservative guess)= 24
12 x 1 = 12
=246.

That leaves you room for negative 46 probes. A great economy if I may say so myself.

I dunno what starcraft you guys are playing

Carriers=6 pop, Arbs=3 pop, Obs=2 oio

still over, but whatever

Personally, I don't like the game. Or more accurately, I don't like the people that play it on battle.net. Talk about ignorance...arrogance,stupidity,intelligance impaired,constipated and last but not least, drugged up.

I know this seems a little harsh, but the people on WC3 b.net are a tad bit more mature. DiabloII even moreso. But still not the same kind of person who plays DooM mp. They are mostly all amazingly friendly and sober. Keyword: mostly.

..Don't get me started on counter-strike.. Please?

That really depends on your playing style. I normally are slow to start but gear up to have massive powerful armies, and so i love the protoss, especially for the steal drone/SCV tactic, and i don't like zerg, since if you don't rush, you can get creamed in a longer game. you can build massives armies with them, but the right blend of Protoss troops can cut through them like a knife through butter.

If one goes down, you still have two! Plus you get extra energy for warping in.. but no one but me really uses that.

8 groups of hydras = burning bloody death. And a good zerg player can build 24 every 2 minutes or so.

How do you like them apples?

8 groups siege tanks > 8 groups hydras

And I'd also be pumping out marines and medics at a rapid rate(usually build around 4-5 barracks)

Anyways.... it's been a while since I actually played, but that would be good if we could people from Massassi in an 8 person free-for-all bloodfest. Ahhh... the good old days....

What are you talking about? i use that all the time. whenever i build a new base i'll have an arbiter there to warp in units in case of an attack, and if you ever have an extra one around, you can do a Kamikaze mission to an enemy headquarters and warp in units just as it goes down. And, lastly, you can use it to warp out turned drones and SCVs. My personal favorite use [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

The great thing about zerg is the ever so useful 'start as protoss' tactic. What's cooler than sending a massive army of carriers, guardians and mutalisks? Harhar.

Zerg only? Simple. Max upgraded hydras + Max upgraded mutas = yay

Seige tanks? Who said anything about seige tanks? They don't attack air, just send in air first.

Another good strategy is Mutas+Guardians. If the enemy dosen't have air then simply guardians will do. The guardians have the longest range in the zerg air family, and do masive amounts of damage in large groups. just sweep around the map with a couple groups of 12, and one group of 12 mutas, and you've basicly got it made.

Photon cannons? No problem, focus fire on the pylons. If there are too many, get in there with a few guardians and they'll clean them up.

To much anti air ships? har har, combat them with high powered hydras or devourers.

Firebats? Argh I hate those buggers. A skilled terran player knows that these babys are godlike against zerg. Until they see 400 zerglings with speed upgrades. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
(you get 2 zerglings for one food)

Nothing says "OmQ leik u suxbAd n0b!11!@111!" Than a queen sending broodlings into their worker groups. Can you feel the love?

EDIT: Wait wait, almost forgot...

Carriers = dead against zerg.
Battle Cruisers = dead against zerg.

A group of 12 battlecruisers can kill scourge faster then they can close on them, as long as there's nothing else around to distract them. They die in one hit.

Not really. The battle cruisers will attack them more than they should. Scourges can take two shots from em (unless armor is upgraded) and the AI makes the all the BCs fire. 5 per BC = bye bye Battle Cruisers. You won't lose more than 3 scourges if you have devourers backing them up. THe acid spores slow down attack rate.

LOL, looks like you need to check your pop calculations as well. I'd have AT LEAST 45 pop for gatherers alone...

I'm just now finishing the Brood War single player campaigns... can anyone recommend any user-made campaigns that I might find online?

Oops, my mistake.... but still, a few groups of 12 siege tanks can take out a mass swarm of hydras. Shows often I play...

Your post about the tanks.... I have mentioned before about marines/medics and I also usually have turrets so scratch the air force. Guardians are also easily taken down with a balanced air force.

Scourges..... they can be a big problem but that is why I always bring in the valkries as well.

Although this wasn't mentioned in any posts, a favorite of mine is when they bring in an Overlord as either transport or detector, I usually irridiate them and watch them hurt their comrades.
