with all these big games coming out (halo2, hl2, etc..) how is metroid prime 2 going to accepted by gamers? do you think that it might get overlooked because of all the other games comeing out? metroid prime is a great game, i hope metroid prime 2 is going to be better. i can't wait for it. <3

thoughts? comments? opinion?

It will sell better than Halo 2. I can guarantee this, because I will be slicing throats of anyone who buys Halo 2 over MP2.

It has Multiplayer. Even if it was only Multiplayer, I would buy it. Or even if it was Singleplayer only.

BUT I get a new Prime[time] adventure AND i get a new game to beat my roommate in! :)

I would buy it... but my sister has my gamecube... and she is in college in iowa. I am in chicago.

I don't know if this is helpful, but I pre-ordered MP2: Echoes a month ago, and as much as I want it...bad, unlike MP2, nothing will stop me from playing halo 2. Strangely enough, I didn't pre-order halo2, but I wil likely get it at the midnight rush tonight. I want halo 2 even more.

I'll give it this: Metroid Prime had puzzles and stuff that reminded me of when I first played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and it was nearly as good, IMO. Echoes will be even better.

However...being the american semi-young person that I am, I will get halo 2 at no costs. Call it hype, stupidity, or whatever. Halo 2 = godly. So ends my stupid rant.

Prime is to Ocarina of Time as Prime 2 is to Majora's Mask

Electronic Gaming Monthly gave Metroid Prime 2: Echoes a 9.0, 9.0, and a 10.

The multiplayer is very boring to play according to them, but the auto targeting system doesn't lends well to multiplayer matches.
The single player is good though. Although they did mention that the game is significantly harder then the first.

For the record, Halo 2 received 10, 10, and 10 from EGM....
