Drivers Test on Wednesday...
2004-11-08, 7:43 PM #1
Yeah, on Wednesday, I may get my license, woohoo!

Anyways, how were your drivers test experiences? Did you fail horribly, or did you perform better than you expected.

(Oh, and as a sidenote, someone in my class got 16 wrong on the TEMPS test, that's right, the TEMPS test).

My driver's test took less than 10 minutes, I drove out of the parking lot, to the end of the street, stopped at the stop sign, turned right, did a 3 point turn, went back to the parking lot, done.

It r0xed my b0x.

I failed my first test because I accidently put on the handbrake while performing a reverse parallel park. I thought that was pretty harsh as I had done everything perfectly until that point. Second time around I passed easily. Having my driver's license rocks.

Um, here in Texas we (I?) don't have driver's tests for our license. I just have to show up at the office when I'm 16 and pick it up.

Passed it the first time, though I got points taken off for stopping after the line at a stop sign. I did that so I could see around the parked cars though...

good luck.

Well I passed with a 95%+ in wet, rainy conditions, with a really bad tester who seemed to enjoy roads that required a lot of lane changing and turns, and stop signs.

Good luck ;)

I passed my second time, the first time I kind of drove against traffic because I forgot the one-way ended. I felt stupid :o

That must have been exciting.

Passed it the first time. After the drive, the tester fellow just complained to me that I was too polite to pedestrians at crosswalks... Heh heh. I was just playing it safe, because somebody had said that's one thing they look at.

I passed second time - I hit the kerb on my three point turn (I was so nervous I couldn't stop my leg from shaking - so had no clutch control).

Other than that I was apparently 'perfect' so when I took my second test, I went in knowing I could pass and just, well, did. :)

Passed first time. One of the house exteriors they use on Neighbours was being filmed as I drove past on my test. Beat that :p

I think not featuring in Neighbours beats that, Spork. :p

Oh, and I get my provisional license in January, so I get let loose in car parks then!
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Is it even possible to fail your test in America? I've been informed that it's very easy to pass.

Driving and cars suck. Me? I'm a bus man and wouldn't have it any other way.

That's something I've looked into. Back home they only give it every 2 years because they don't have enough people signing up for it. Now that I'm in Montreal, that's something that I should maybe look at again. :)

I've already got my emergency vehicle license, though.

I narrowly passed my drivers test the first time. Good luck!

Yay! I passed!

What was weird was my dude (a real old almost army veteran who couldn't tell the difference between low beams and high beams) took only 1 point off for not looking backwards enough during a parallel park, but he took like 8 on the Y-Turn for not looking enough (even though I looked more on the Y-turn than I had done in any of the other parking tests).

Oh well, no matter, I passed, and I can drive
