What will you do if the Internet collapses? It'll be like the early 90s again! People will actually need to know things because they can't just Google for them. Porn will have to be retrieved from magazine stands. A lot of people, myself included, will have to revert to banking at the offices and ATMs. No more Massassi, either!
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Put my fingers in my ears and go "LALALALALALALA"

IF it happens, we start over - and do things properly.

It's about time this crap ended. Now we can restart everything from the very base up make it so secure no hacker would dare even try. It would be like a utopia internet socity.

You remind me when internet is collapsing, and we are all gathered in #massassi

When only I can speak.

You will hear.

....the net's going...the net's going black.... ...the Internet Protocol...hear the howling?... ...the system is going down, all across the globe... ...no more infolinks, transmissions of any kind...we'll start again, live in villages...if you receive this, if you survive, then find us...find us...

Now is this collapse going to happen before or after the Y2K bug destroys all life on earth?

I really do not think the whole of the internet will collapse in a digital firey blaze.

But if so, wouldn't surprise me. Humanity thrives on destroying its own creations.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

It's ok people. Georg Bush has been working on some other internets. They should be fine.

You can't restart it. It'll never be the same. Information was once shared freely, now it's a capitalist cesspool. If they ever try to rebuild it securely, someone, somewhere, would have to organize it and it would become like every restricted system. It will all break, sooner or later. Artificial constructs never last.

it would be hard to "destroy" the internet for good.... since internet doesnt really exist.... the internet isnt this strange dimention that we can tap into.... its just data streaming at high speed via wires, cables, or radeo transmissions.... only way to destroy internet is to place a magnet on every server, mainframe, laptop, and desktop in the world to destroy the internet fully

Thought that was pretty funny.

Here's what we'll do...

We'll find ourselfs a temple in Southwestern China (virtually untouched by computers somewhat) and find a Temple much like the one on Yavin IV in SW: Episode IV. Then, we'll run around calling ourselfs the "Massassians", and form hunting parties and write in dirt a poll about politics and which game is better. After that, we'll figure out the bad guy's name from "Tron", and learn the ways of the Force before Exar Kun arrives and kills us all.

Anyone have a better plan? I thought not.

Its what Tracer Tong says to JC Denton when he destroys Daedalus/Icarus/Helios/Page in one of the Deus Ex endings. Then theres the other two endings, one where you merge with the AI, and one where you kill Page but leave the facility intact, allowing the Illuminati to take over.

"Who are we? Who are we really?"

"We are the Illuminati, the invisible hand"

Did I get that right?

Oh yeah..
