Warren Miller's Impact

Just got back from seeing it tonight. For those of you who have never heard of Warren Miller, he's produced, directed and narrated a new Skiing/Snowboarding/Winter Sports/Travel Documentary ever year since 1949. Basically, its just an hour and a half of people skiing and snowboarding in advanced terrain set to music, with a few clips of some pretty spectacular wipe outs thrown in for good measure. Its a lot of fun, and its mostly college students that go to see it so there are people cheering throughout the entire movie. Its a great experience similar to seeing a Star Wars movie opening night, except without the costumes and plastic lightsabers.

This years film was titled Impact, and I encourage everyone to go see it if they get a chance... even if you arent into skiing or snowboarding. Some of the places visited are amazing, and the cinematagrophy is outstanding. The winter hasn't officially started until you've seen that years Warren Miller film.

There is a lot more information about the movie as well as a preview/trailer for it on the Warren Miller website.

I guess I would be..if I didn't live in California.

Becuase we all know California is winter sports central. Not.
The tired anthem of a loser and a hypocrite.

Ever been to the Sierras . . . in the winter . . . when there is snow on the ground . . . and the ski resorts are all operational? Lot's of winter sports going on there.
