it's got all kinds of funny in it... It's got some REALLY bad CG in some shots, but the movie kinda makes fun of itself. There are also some really good jokes in the movie.. all in all, I don't think anyone can be disappointed with this movie.

This movie looks like the worst, most idiotic piece of crap ever conceived. I would consume my own flesh before watching it.

lol.. that's what I thought too before I watched it.. but I didn't have to pay to see it, an dmy roommate was going, so I went along, and was happy i did... it was really funny.. BTW, don't expect intellectual "wit".. it is very gory and I really like stupid movies.. like "Scarecrow slayer" "scarecrow gone wild" and "bite me" to name a few.

what i wonder is how can someone concieve this and consider it a form of 'work'... like the screen play, like what self-respected screen writer says hey lets reiterate chuckie (a doll with no reproductive organs) have a child with the former 'wife of chuckie' all based off of a **** movie made in the 80's.... what director would say hey ill take hold of this movie and really try to make it a work of art... who in there right mind honestly????? i ****ing hate hollywood

You couldn't pay me enough to watch a chucky movie!
The music industry is a cruel and shallow money trench where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

You obviously haven't seen Bride of Chucky. I don't think that I could bring myself to watch another Chucky movie, even if it were free.

Anyone else think that Cary Elwes was horrible in Saw? He's been great in everything else that I've seen, but he was just awful in this movie. He really needs to stick to more theatrical films.

I was never really a big fan of the chuck movies.
2004-11-12, 11:00 AM #13
Neither was I, but this one is just funny.. it's not intended to be a horror film by any means. I heard it's much better than bride of chucky.. (I didn't watch bride of chucky cause I thought it was gonna be stupid)

mr stafford lay off... i was simply saying hollywood makes garbage, movies should be about suspension of disbelief and what not to try engulf you in the story it has to tell but making a pitifully sad movie like seed of chucky that will just break even at the box office is sad...... whats the point other then because they can??? Try watching independent films where the movie isnt backed by millions of dollars and is made for a real reason....
2004-11-12, 11:35 AM #15
but your argument makes no sense.... chucky is an independent film.
2004-11-12, 11:43 AM #16
ok well this is obviously an exception and all other chucky movies were not produced by "Rogue Productions", still though if you were an aspiring writer/director would you consider seed of chucky a 'good oppurtunity.' I mean everyone in here said they wouldn't pay to see it which is my point... I do admit I am wrong though but honestly besides for its comedic purposes that Spiral perviously stated would you really sit down for 1 1/2 and watch this on your own expensive time?

o man lol this is this guys credentials as a director

I thought the brittany spears part on the preview looked funny.

i want to see it, are you sure it isn't scary.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Child's Play is an independent film. The movie "Chucky" does not exist, unless you have translated the title of a foreign film. Sorry, not trying to start a fight, just a big movie buff and I get annoyed when people call the name of a movie something else.

I liked Child's Play, but I also think that it should've ended after the first one. The concept of the movie was very original. It involved voodoo and a doll, but instead of using the doll as a tool to cause pain to others, the doll itself causes pain to others. Brad Dourif is one of my favorite actors for the horror genre (he does the voice of Chucky in the Child's Play films). In case you wanted to see what he looks like, he stars in the films Body Parts, Spontaneous Combustion, and most recently LOTR: The Two Towers and Return of the King. While some people may laugh at the thought of a killer toy, think about it. It's a household object, you're used to it being thoughtless, lifeless. But, if it had the capability to kill you, and you didn't know it, then you would certainly be scared. I also thought it was great because the boy blamed all of the things that were happening on the doll, and of course, the mother didn't believe him. So, through out the film, you're waiting for the mother to find out that the doll is infact a living entity. It's a GREAT movie, but if you watch it thinking "Pffftt...a movie about a killer doll, what a waste of my time...how lame" then you deserve whatever you feel, be it regret or negativity.
Who made you God to say "I'll take your life from you"?
