I liked it a lot, but I tend to like more uncommon movies like that more than the next guy.

The end made me cry. I made my family watch the movie and they all looked at me like i was on something. I thought the movie was good, not amazing but good.

The end was happy-sad. The robot got what he wanted (his mother's love), and he got to end peacefully and happily. What was so bad about that?

Edit: I think the whole alien thing was just quirky enough for my taste.

Haven't seen it in aaaaaaages, and I can't say I'm in any hurry to sit through it again. I remember thinking that if it had ended about an hour before it did then it would have been good, but as it was, the ending sucked. I can't actually remember what it was, but some hollywood mushy crap would probably be right.

Dragged on too long. Felt it played too much sentimentally.

If it ended when he was trapped underwater I would have liked it more.....what happened after that shows bad things happen when Speilberg puts on his Kubrick outfit.

the ending was really weird but it made me feel sooooo sad. A really nice film..

I think that the guy that made this film was trying to say:
It doesn't matter who you are, where you are...Just follow your dream, and the moment will stay with you forever
2004-11-13, 7:18 AM #17
It was so-so until the part where he's trapped underwater. It should've just ended there... but it drags on.... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on.... and on... and on... and on... and on... and on...

Jude Law's part was about the only enjoyable thing of the movie. The rest is pretty boring and pointless...

Sucked like a Hoover and blew like a Conair hair dryer. A huge feces fest. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. I didn't care about any of the characters. The plot was very shallow and what it dealt with was just plain boring. I had to keep myself awake to finish the damned thing. I considered walking out a few times. I will never again watch that... movie is too good for this god-forsaken sack of elephant dung.

I saw the movie several times over the course of a month. Not because I liked it, but because I always found something much better to do during that time. Like watch clouds. Clouds are nice. Once I finally watched the whole movie through, I decided that I can't wait to be the first person to beat the crap out of a baby robot.
