Trying to get the free iPod....
2004-11-13, 10:42 PM #1
I decided to look into the free iPods thing, and since it had a blockbuster thing in it, I thought "what the hell". So please, go to the site I give. I'm not sure if that is enough, but hopefully it is. I actually like the blockbuster deal they have. It's nice, but I doing this mainly to see if I'll actually get an iPod. Anyway, here is some text the site said I should copy and paste in e-mails, etc. So if you feel like helping me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey-
Check out this great site that is giving away totally free iPods! I've joined and I think you should as well. It's a completely legitimate offer, and this company has already given away $4 million in free stuff!

All you have to do is join, complete and online offer, and refer friends to do the same. That's it!

Here is my referral link. To help me get my iPod, click this exact link to join, or copy and paste it into a browser: http://www.freeiPods.com/?r=11884141

To give this thread some form of discussion, what kind of iPod do you have or want?

I want the 20gb. I could never use that space, but I like knowing it is there.

I've got a silver Mini.

I'd like to know exactly how these people manage to give away free stuff. Someone has to pay somewhere along the line, right?

Looks like some kind of pyramid scheme. How many referrals do you need?
VTEC just kicked in, yo!

It is some kind of pyramid scheme. Good luck, I doubt the majority of forum members here even have a credit card. :p

It's a good scheme and it works, but there's nothing in it for the people who do the referrals for you.

Unless they sign up for an iPod and do the same thing I do. The entire point is to get as many people as possible to sign up for those free offers, which range from blockbuster mail DVD's, credit cards, etc.

And the reason the iPod company can afford giving iPod's out for free is they are already getting *** loads of money for all the of people that sign up for those various offers through them. It's kind of like a commission sponsorship.

It's not ripping you off. I have a friend who did it. It's just a lot of work. Get 5 friends to sign up, register on e-bay and bid on one thing and BAM you get an ipod. It really IS that simple.
Think while it's still legal.

register on e-bay and bid on one thing? I wasn't given that option. :(

They took it out because too many people were doing that without having to commit to something.

Best couple of hundred quid I've ever spent. I kid you not.

A joy to use.

Meh I was never really interested in the Ipod system.

Yeah, so I tried this a few months ago. Joined a conga line, and made a thread on this very forum. Had nine people sign up, but zero completed an offer. I can't stand pestering people to do something like this, because, since you can't do an offer for them too, you cannot do anything in return for them. So it's like begging a favor of a bunch of people. I know I'd find that annoying if people did it to me, so I can't feel right doing it to others.

But hey, good luck in getting your free iPod. ;)
